Granola

Granola, fresh from the oven.

Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

To a large bowl add the following ingredients:

3 cups of rolled oats

1 cup of raw pumpkin seeds

1 cup of raw sunflower seeds

1 cup of pecans or macadamia nuts, chopped

1/4 tsp sea salt or to taste

In small saucepan melt the following ingredients:

1/2 cup of maple syrup

1/2 cup of coconut oil

Once melted and removed from the heat, add 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Add the melted ingredients to the dry ingredients. Combine well. Spread on a cookie sheet in a single layer and bake until toasted, stirring occasionally. Usually takes about 40 minutes to toast.

And of course, you may substitute the combination of seeds and nuts to your favorites.
